GameTime Recruiting & Consulting places a strong emphasis on professionalism and integrity in its scouting staff. It is important for student athletes and their families to be able to trust and rely on the guidance and advice of those who are helping them navigate the college recruiting process. It is also important for recruiting organizations to maintain high standards of professionalism and ethical conduct in order to best serve the needs and interests of student athletes. It is ultimately the goal of any reputable scouting organization to help student athletes achieve their dreams of participating in college athletics and to do so in a way that is honest, transparent, and fair.

Rodney Cox

CEO/Founder of Gametime Recruiting and Consulting (GTR&C), LLC Rodney Cox is from Los Angeles, California. At age five, Rodney began playing football and fell in love with the sport. Rodney graduated from Cathedral High School and earned a scholarship to play football for Arizona State University (ASU). Initially a walk-on recruit for ASU, Rodney’s hard work and perseverance earned him a full scholarship and starting position for the Sun Devils. While at ASU, Rodney earned a Bachelor of Arts in Education. Rodney went on to earn his master’s degree in Sport Management from Southern New Hampshire University. Professionally, Rodney played arena football for the Green Bay Blizzards.
Since the conclusion of his collegiate and professional career, Rodney has been actively involved in high school athletics through coaching, volunteer opportunities, and student-athlete mentorships. Active with the community, Rodney participates in several guest-speaking engagements, including various informational recruiting seminars, panel discussions (e.g., University of Miami: Global Sport Industry Conference), and career fairs. Rodney is passionate about creating professional pathways, internships, marketing, and scouting opportunities for former and current GTR&C student-athletes.
Rodney’s passion for assisting student-athletes with their athletic careers after graduating from high school began when he was introduced to the “Sports Recruiting” world in 2016. Within two years, Rodney contributed to 40+ collegiate student-athlete success stories at various levels: Divisions I-III, NAIA, and Junior/Community College. Since the inception of GTR&C in 2019 and under Rodney’s leadership, over 350+ athletes have committed to collegiate institutions and athletic programs. As a personable, active recruiter and scout, Rodney has helped many student-athletes nationwide. Furthermore, Rodney has used his expertise to assist international student-athletes from Canada and New Zealand competing collegiately in the United States.

Alicia Cox

Dr. Alicia Cox is the COO of Gametime Recruiting and Consulting, LLC and Director of Sports Medicine Services (Sports Psychology, Athletic Training, and BLS Provider Certification). A military-raised three-sport student-athlete (Desert Jr./Sr. High school: volleyball, basketball, track & field) from Edwards, CA, Dr. Cox earned her Sport and Performance Psychology degree from the University of Arizona Global Campus (UAGC). She holds a master’s degree in education for curriculum and instruction from the University of Concordia, Portland, and a bachelor’s degree in athletic training from the University of Tampa. Dr. Cox’s advocacy and research focus is debriefing and mitigation education for secondary school athletic trainers (ATs) and providing sports psychology coaching and consulting services for athletes and ATs.
As a licensed and board-certified AT, the professional experiences of Dr. Cox have included (but are not limited to) working under the professional practice of an NHL team physician, NFL Europe, a Division II World Series Championship Baseball team, USA Baseball, Gatorade, and with various high school student-athletes and high school championship teams. Dr. Cox began her secondary school athletic training career as a lead subcontracted high school AT for a physical therapy group before becoming a district AT, Sports Medicine instructor, Career & Technical Student Organization (CTSO) HOSA Advisor, and a district-level Career and Technical Education (CTE) Health Science content and instructional specialist for high school programs in Arizona.
Dr. Cox enjoys teaching sports psychology and athletic training courses part-time as an adjunct professor and has presented for the UAGC Psychology Club Student Symposium. Furthermore, Dr. Cox continues to advocate for secondary school ATs and the athletic training profession as a presenter for the Secondary School Session of the Arizona Athletic Trainers’ Association (AzATA) Winter Symposium. In support of sports medicine high school programmatic content and curriculum, Dr. Cox has participated as a panelist for the ACOVA Conference for CTE in Arizona. Dr. Cox has received sports medicine-related recognition and accolades in Bold Journey Magazine, Teacher of the Year, and CareerSafe Safety Educator of the Year for OSHA-10 Healthcare.

Prospect Meeting

Prospects are prepared with “Athlete Etiquette Consulting,” real-world, transferrable professional skills to assist prospects with appropriate self-branding.

Get Connected

Our recruiters consult with the student-athlete and the family about recommendations to attend the best prospective events for the athlete to receive proper recruitment/exposure.
